We believe that God has led us to Charles City to build a prayer center in one of the most historic places in the nation.

	Here we will maintain consistent prayer watches, aimed at inviting spiritual awakening and the healing of the land.
	Here, too, we will invite people to take spiritual retreats, during which they can “get into the clear with God.”

Honoring Doug’s Legacy & Updates on Our Organization

Dear friends and fellow prayer warriors,

As you may know, we’ve suffered a great loss with Doug’s death on May 27, 2025. However, we know that Doug would want us to continue the ministry of prayer in these difficult times. To that end, we will continue to have prayer at The Clearing. A part of our vision is that we make The Clearing available for people to spend time here in order to draw near to God away from the world. Our Upper Room is available for those who desire a time away from their busy life. Additionally, there are prayer stations where you can enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.
